Drill is a spacial intervention, a ridiculous one at that. Formally and aesthetically, it is concerned with surface and the tension of its rhythmic, and deliberate destruction.

Conceptually, this video is an exploration of architectural interventions and feminist concerns. It is a seemingly simple narrative pertaining to entropy as ‘a measure of the disorder that exists in a system’.

Seventh -We've Got A Love Like Electric Sound - "What ya gonna do when the novelty is gone?"

We've Got A Love Like Electric Sound takes its content from the motivations, considerations and sentiment in the making of a mixed tape and its symbolic
place in contemporary culture, and consists of works exploring the transactions between contemporary art, popular culture
and music in a shared cultural space.

Drill at Boxcopy -Queensland

Literally piercing through meditative tone of the works discussed so far is Candice Cranmer’s video work entitled Drill 2008. This work shows an electrical drill boring through a piece of wax. The video concentrates on the moment of rupture, which is drawn out to the point that the process becomes stationary. The black hole produced by the drill making its way through the wax plays on the perception of the surface of the wall on which this work is projected
